Sunshine Revival Challenge 2: Tunnel of Love

Creative: Write a love poem to anyone or anything you like
See "Poem: Legs of Grass, Feet of Flowers."

What I love most about summer is being able to walk through the yard, pick things, and put them in my mouth. I call my approach "laissez-faire permaculture." It's not as fancy or labor-intensive as conventional permaculture. It's closer in style to the ancient permaculture of the food forests supporting traditional foodways. Many edible things just grow where they please, like mulberries and wild onions. Gaia threw in some wild grapevines a while back, although I haven't seen them produce actual grapes yet. This year I have a bee tree again, which is awesome; I give them space to live, they pollinate my flowers, everyone wins.
I do have some smaller gardens that get more concentrated care. I grow lots of herbs, a few vegetables, and some flowers. I like being able to pick a handful of herbs to throw in a skillet scramble, or edible flowers for a salad. Right now the blackberries are ripe. Earlier I got some mulberries and a few black raspberries. I enjoy just wandering around to see what is blooming, what has green fruit, what is ready to harvest.
