Good news includes all the things which make us happy or otherwise feel good. It can be personal or public. We never know when something wonderful will happen, and when it does, most people want to share it with someone. It's disappointing when nobody is there to appreciate it. Happily, blogging allows us to share our joys and pat each other on the back.

What good news have you had recently? Are you anticipating any more? Have you found a cute picture or a video that makes you smile? Is there anything your online friends could do to make your life a little happier?

This is kind of a combo hard things/good news. One of those-can't have one without the other type situations. That said:

I've survived the CCovid round 2 bull shit. Good news.
Good news/hard thing...I took the rest of this week off for myself. But I'm still worried about my finances because I'm now missing an entire paypariod of work-which is six days. That's like...upwords of half the month's income and I'm kind of low key anxious about it. *sighs*

The two good things from this week are one: I'm back to work. I had a very long holiday break. I was not used to having so much time off. Before taking on this cooking job, I've always been a baker or a pastry chef. That has always meant working extra around the holidays. Having two weeks off was weird, and I got really restless near the end of it. It feels good to be back on my feet working all day.

The other good news is that someone (I wonder who?? :b) started a new bird related community on Dreamwidth. That's awesome.

The end-of-year off time seems to have been truly restorative. Thank goodness!

I took some art pieces to be framed, including one of mine that I'm proud of. \o/

Today I went out with a friend after months of trying to organize a day to see eachother. It was a beautiful day and I actually feel relaxed and happy!

I also set up my new DW account, even if I never had anything like this before. I hope that I managed to do everything properly...

I've done this last thing because I wanted to follow you, ysabet! After I found "Love is For Children" on AO3 I wanted to re-read it on DW, so I made an account to comment and "subscribe" to the series.

I am so excited! Here is the Dreamwidth landing page for Love Is For Children. It kind of outgrew the AO3 one. I haven't added yesterday's poem yet though. Also if you like the general family-feel of LIFC, I write a lot of other things like that too.

Poetry Fishbowls are the first Tuesday of every month, and the Creative Jam is mid-month in

crowdfunding which I also post about here. Fanfic prompts are fine because I can use those as freebies.

I found the landing page for "Love Is For Children" right away and I bookmarked it on my browser, same as "A Brief Guide to The Avengers". Maybe I should use memories for this?

I read your new poem and I really liked it! I love how you portray JARVIS (and Bruce & Hulk).

I used your december followfriday posts to find some active communities to subscribe to, and I bookmarked a lot of writing ones that I will subscribe to/join when I feel sure enough in my writing skills (English is my second language) to post some of my stories.

Some people like bookmarks. I use Memories for things I want to be able to find again. Most of that's in my How To section.

I'm glad you found some that appeal to you.

If you hadn't told me, I probably wouldn't have noticed that English is your second language.

Beyond that, though, the way to get better at writing is to write things. Start small if you like -- there are lots of drabble communities, and

allbingo can be played with any size of card or fill. About half my fills this month for Public Domain Day Bingo are haiku. All of them are short because my Poetry Fishbowl theme on Tuesday was "short forms."
