communal_creators is going to be running a 30-day event to encourage that kind of creativity, in multiple formats this fall. Dates chosen are for after public school should be back in swing for many countries, but before the rash of late fall-early winter holidays worldwide.
We will have sign-ups that allow for "time spent creating" or "actual creations made". Or you can be adventurous and sign up for both.
Please come have a look, and if the idea sparks something, join us to get further announcements, including a plan to have a crowd-sourced resource posting before the event itself.

While the overall thrust of the community would probably lend itself best to fanfic, fanart, and podfic, no creative medium is off the table. Anonymous participation is welcome!

Post-Dominion War exploration, based on Star Trek Adventures.
This community is a full-AU/OC Star Trek musebox/game taking place on the science and exploration-focused ship, the USS Fidelity, after the Dominion War. There is a lot of the galaxy to explore, especially with the treaties signed, and Starfleet is picking up the pieces from the battle and continuing on its primary mission - of curiosity and peace.
Plots will follow a very Star Trek methodology, with plenty of room for primary advancement of each storyline with crew interactions and found-family-building going at the same time. This game will be taking place at the same time as the Voyager series, before her return to the Alpha quadrant. Some of the methodology for plots and character creation or building into the AU are based on the Star Trek Adventures: Captain's Log TTRPG for solo or guided play.
As always, the main rule will be the aptly-named Wheaton's Law - don't be a dick.

movieclub is similar to a book club, but instead of reading, we watch and discuss. Watch-alongs are hosted on Discord, and anyone interested in joining can ask to join! (to avoid spam, the Discord link will not be publicly posted). Each month, there will be a theme and members can submit recommendations to go with a theme. Please do not recommend more than 3 movies per month! Then, after the recommendation period has ended, the group will vote on which movies will make the cut for the month. Expect around 2-4 movies per month.
Watch-alongs are Fridays starting at 6:45 pm ET unless stated otherwise. There is no obligation to join, but if you do come, expect to chat with the group over messenger. No voice calls will be used and all films watched together will have English captioning.
After watching, a discussion post will be created to chat about the film. General shitshooting and shitposting is allowed! This is just a space for people who like film and like to talk to others about film, so nothing formal is expected. However, in-depth reviews are more than welcome!

Starting on January 1st, Mood Theme in a Year will prompt three moods a week, with regular week-long breaks throughout. You can create as many or as few as you like, with several useful stopping points built into the schedule, and you can jump in at any time, and stop whenever you're satisfied. You also don't have to stick to the schedule, and can work on moods in whatever order strikes your fancy.

communal_creators is going to be running a 30-day event to encourage that kind of creativity, in multiple formats this fall. Dates chosen are for after public school should be back in swing for many countries, but before the rash of late fall-early winter holidays worldwide.
We will have sign-ups that allow for "time spent creating" or "actual creations made". Or you can be adventurous and sign up for both.

Post-Dominion War exploration, based on Star Trek Adventures.
This community is a full-AU/OC Star Trek musebox/game taking place on the science and exploration-focused ship, the USS Fidelity, after the Dominion War. There is a lot of the galaxy to explore, especially with the treaties signed, and Starfleet is picking up the pieces from the battle and continuing on its primary mission - of curiosity and peace.
Plots will follow a very Star Trek methodology, with plenty of room for primary advancement of each storyline with crew interactions and found-family-building going at the same time. This game will be taking place at the same time as the Voyager series, before her return to the Alpha quadrant. Some of the methodology for plots and character creation or building into the AU are based on the Star Trek Adventures: Captain's Log TTRPG for solo or guided play.
As always, the main rule will be the aptly-named Wheaton's Law - don't be a dick.

movieclub is similar to a book club, but instead of reading, we watch and discuss. Watch-alongs are hosted on Discord, and anyone interested in joining can ask to join! (to avoid spam, the Discord link will not be publicly posted). Each month, there will be a theme and members can submit recommendations to go with a theme. Please do not recommend more than 3 movies per month! Then, after the recommendation period has ended, the group will vote on which movies will make the cut for the month. Expect around 2-4 movies per month.Watch-alongs are Fridays starting at 6:45 pm ET unless stated otherwise. There is no obligation to join, but if you do come, expect to chat with the group over messenger. No voice calls will be used and all films watched together will have English captioning.
After watching, a discussion post will be created to chat about the film. General shitshooting and shitposting is allowed! This is just a space for people who like film and like to talk to others about film, so nothing formal is expected. However, in-depth reviews are more than welcome!
