Challenge #4
In your own space, add something to your fandom’s canon. Leave a comment in this post saying you did it. Include a link to your post if you feel comfortable doing so.
If you got the opportunity to add one thing to the canon of any of your fandoms, what would that be? Maybe there’s a character who didn’t get much of a backstory/storyline and you’d like to do something with them, maybe a show was axed too soon and you had thoughts on what could happen in a subsequent season, maybe there’s a new episode you’d like to have added..

Tony Stark is a blacksmith. Now, we see part of this in movie canon: we see him banging out the Mark I Iron Man suit by hand, with a hammer (in a cave ... with a box of scraps).
What canon says nothing about is how he can actually do that. This is where I derive in, extrapolate out. Because the scene appears in the movie, Tony must be a blacksmith. Therefore, he had to learn those skills somewhere, somewhen, somehow. But blacksmithing isn't a skill you can learn solely from a book. You have to earn those muscles by hitting things really hard with a hammer, for months. And if you don't want to burn your damn hands off, it's better to have a teacher. In order for Tony to be able to do what he did in the movie, he not only had to learn that trade, he had to maintain it by doing it regularly, all those years.
What I added is that Tony apprenticed as a blacksmith one summer, to piss off his father. Because how else could a poor little rich boy learn a dirty, manual trade like that? I give you "What Little Boys Are Made Of." (This belongs to the series Love Is For Children, but it stands alone well.)
