ysabetwordsmithToday I'm making strawberry banana bread using this recipe, just replacing the nuts with dried strawberries. This used up the last of the overripe bananas. \o/

It can be made with various mix-ins like nuts or seeds or dried fruit, different spices, other types of fruit puree than applesauce and mashed bananas, multigrain flour instead of whole wheat, etc. I've put peanut butter in it. I've put rolled oats in it. Experimenting with different flavors is fun. But the runaway favorite is the dried strawberries.
